Abstract: Pesquisa exploratória descritiva com abordagem qualitativa. Buscou-se descrever as facilidades encontradasno processo de amamentação de mulheres que deram a luz e cuidaram/cuidam de filhos portadores de Síndrome de Down.Os sujeitos constituíram-se de seis mulheres/mães de crianças portadoras de Síndrome de Down, residentes nas cidadesde Rio Negro-PR e Mafra-SC.
