Abstract: As transformações da bovinocultura de corte são analisadas pelas Ciências Sociais com o objetivo de compreender como se formam novas relações sociecônomicas a partir dos esforços modernizadores do setor, e ao mesmo tempo de que maneira as relações ditas tradicionais são impactadas, inclusive no que diz respeito às relações entre humanos e animais.
