The pharmacist's role in pharmaceutical care occurs especially in two axes: medication management and pharmaceutical care. Direct patient care is a challenge for the Brazilian health system, as this context provokes the construction of a new professional identity of the pharmacist: the clinic. Objective: To analyze a current panorama of the role of pharmaceutical professionals in primary health care. Methodology: This was a descriptive and exploratory literature review study with a qualitative approach. The descriptors "primary care", "pharmacist" and "pharmaceutical care" were used, searched in an integrated way in the Scielo and Medline database. Results: The pharmacist still has a relevant role in management, but increasingly the system encourages the pharmacist to a more inclusive approach to patient care. There is consensus among the authors that the low number of pharmacists in primary care, coupled with the lack of perception of these professionals as part of the team and the lack of clarity about their attributions, contribute to the lack of recognition of this professional in the field of clinical practice. Conclusion: The incorporation of pharmaceutical clinical services has been shown to be an important strategy for resignification of the pharmacist in primary care. Actions involving clinical services need to be developed more frequently, so that the patient care bias is as explicit as the bureaucratic bias of pharmaceutical care.

Vaginal candidiasis, fungal infection caused by species of Candida spp. that affects women of all ages, cultures, habits, social and economic conditions. Its frequency and epidemiology is already reported, but resistance and therapeutic failures have been recorded. Methodology: In the Laboratory of Clinical and Toxicological Analyzes of the Faculty of Pharmacy of UFRGS (LACT), cervicovaginal collections of women were performed for Candida research and determination of species, after which susceptibility tests were performed to fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole and nystatin. With the results obtained complement with the Pharmaceutical Care Project. Results: C. albicans was identified in 37% and in non-albicans species, C. glabrata in 27%. C. albicans was more sensitive to antifungals than C. glabrata, which presented a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) higher than C. albicans. Conclusion: Antifungal resistance has increased due to the use in prophylaxis and treatments without the correct diagnosis, requiring a more careful look at these patients. Thus, it is necessary to follow up the diagnosis and treatment by the health professional, the pharmacist, who has knowledge of the drug therapy used and this is obtained by the Pharmaceutical Care acting in the Project.

A Assistência Farmacêutica durante a pandemia da Covid-19 é de extrema importância, uma vez que o farmacêutico exerce papel fundamental no controle da transmissão da doença e na atenção às necessidades da população, de forma a promover o uso racional de medicamentos durante a crise. Com isso, o objetivo deste trabalho foi revisar a literatura em relação a atenção farmacêutica durante a pandemia da Covid-19. Para isso, foi realizada uma busca por artigos relacionados ao tema para subsidiar a revisão sistemática da literatura. A busca resultou em 20 artigos, sendo que nove foram incluídos nos resultados e 11 foram excluídos, por não abordarem diretamente o tema. Os artigos incluídos trataram do consumo de medicamento em meio a pandemia e o uso irracional de medicamentos; os cuidados farmacêuticos frente a Covid-19 e a importância do profissional farmacêutico em diversas áreas que sua profissão abrange como (drogarias, farmácias, no âmbito hospitalar e em Home Care). Dessa forma, observa-se o papel essencial do profissional farmacêutico durante esse período, na prestação da assistência farmacêutica, de forma a orientar e informar melhor a população sobre o uso adequado dos medicamentos e sobre os efeitos indesejáveis causados pela automedicação, evitando, assim, agravos à saúde e proporcionando maior cuidado em todos os setores da saúde.
