This work presents a case study in the Electoral Justice building of Teixeira-PB, located in the countryside of the Sertão Paraibano and in the immediate geographic region of Patos -PB, specifically in the municipality of Teixeira. The objective was to analyze the situational state of the facades of the electoral justice building in Teixeira -PB, aiming at future intervention works in the building. This is an exploratory and explanatory research, with a quali-quantitative approach. The methodology of the article comprised a bibliographical study, for possible analyzes between studies already carried out on facades of historic buildings and the object of study of this research: the former building of the Electoral Justice of Teixeira -PB. Through analysis of photographic records, damage identification sheets (FID) and a damage map were prepared, covering all the facades of the building. Finally, the application of the GUT Matrix methodology (Gravity, Urgency and Tendency) was carried out to categorize the most aggravating pathological manifestations in the building, aiming to contribute to the understanding of the situation of the building, in order to contribute to eventual restoration services in the building. In view of the analyses, a large index of anthropic mechanisms was noticed, that is, the damages found could be solved and/or prevented by carrying out preventive or corrective maintenance, planned and executed by a technical staff specialized in restoring historic buildings. Therefore, this research starts from the need and importance of conserving historical assets of an urban reality as a way of preserving and valuing the memory of the people and proposes to investigate and document the result of interventions carried out in the building, its constructive system, the damages found on the facades and the situation in relation to the degradation of the building.
