Nurses and the collective care practices within the family health strategy: salud de la familia

Scholarship holder from Conselho Nacional deDesenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq).Objectives: accomplishment of the transcultural adaptation of the Parent-adolescent Communication Scale, which evaluates the frequency of communication between parents and children concerning the subjects related to sex, condom, DST, HIV and pregnancy. Method:Methodological research of quantitative approach, accomplished with 313 adolescent pupils of the feminine sex in the 14 to 18 year age group in Fortaleza-CE. The content validity was carried through by means of the initial translation, back translation, pre-final version and final version, being analyzed by a committee of specialists; the reliability was verified by the Cronbach's Alpha and ascertained by testing the hypotheses and test-retest within five weeks.The scale was applied via computer in the online modality in the period November/2010 to January/2011. Results: The version of the instrument in Portuguese presented an Alpha of 0.86 regarding the validity of the structure, was partially verified since the testing of the hypotheses of the contracted group was not confirmed. IntroductionAs for the feminine gender, since the emergence of the first AIDS cases in the worldwide epidemiologist scenario, the prevention of the HIV transmission among women has been one of the biggest challenges in the control of the disease. This and other questions cause the prominence of the vulnerability of the woman, specifically of the adolescent in relation to the infections through sexually transmissible diseases (STD), human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and pregnancy, which reecho negatively in the life quality of his group (1) .From the relations that surround the adolescent, the family where that adolescent is inserted plays a basic role in the way how the adolescent grows up, including how that adolescent will interrelate with the future sexual partners. Thus, the family unit has, throughout the years, suffered transformations, mainly in the way of transmitting values on subjects connected to STD/HIV (2) .For the nursing, the family health has become focus of the care in the scope of the work process in health, and this implies the necessity to elaborate educational and care technologies that facilitate this relation, either by means of visits at home, in the school environment, or even during the nursing consultation. Continuing education in the family health strategy: rethinking educational groups

OBJECTIVE: to analyze the experience of the family health team in resignifying the way to develop educational groups. METHOD: groups of discussion, with twenty-six biweekly group meetings conducted, with an average of fifteen professionals from the family health team, during the year 2009. The empirical material consisted of the transcription of the groups, on which thematic analysis was performed. RESULTS: two themes were developed and explored from the collective discussions with the team: "The experience and coordination of the groups" and "The work process and educational groups in a service-school". CONCLUSIONS: continuing Education in Health developed with the team, not only permitted learning about the educational groups that comprised the population, but also contributed to the team's analysis of its own relationships and its work process that is traversed by institutions. This study contributed to the advancement of scientific knowledge about the process of continuing health education as well as educational groups with the population. Also noteworthy is the research design used, providing reflexivity and critical analysis on the part of the team about the group process experienced in the meetings, appropriating knowledge in a meaningful and transformative manner.

The use of music in group educational activities in Family Health

Objective: describe how music is used in the development of group educational activity in Family Health. Methods: a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study, developed with 10 group coordinators, distributed in five basic care units in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Data were collected from March to July, 2009, with non participant observation in the group itself, and semi-structured interviews with the coordinators. Information was organized and categorized according to thematic analysis. To interpret the data, the Snyderian concepts in addition to theoretical references about music, communication and health education were used. Results: three thematic nuclei were found: the affective dimension of music; recreative dimension of music and the reflexive dimension of music. Conclusion: an attempt by the coordinators was observed, to overcome the pathological barriers with the use of music, considering the group as a whole.As advancement for the production of knowledge, this study shows the need for qualification of these coordinators, by means of workshops and constant follow-up of their musical practices. . Teaching leads students to starting with that which they like as the objective of knowing and understanding the production of great masters, with these being guides in the quest for knowledge (7) .In view of the foregoing, the group coordinator needs to be prepared to act in new health education models, assuming new tasks and suiting himself/herself to changes arising from the present health policy in force in the country, whose aim is the integrality of care.It is expected that the coordinator is a communicator capable of arousing the participants' interest by means of strategies that could guarantee that they are kept in the group, considering the cognitive and psychological factors involved in the learning process, which may be achieved through music. Therefore, the presupposition of this study was that music is an advantageous strategy for educational actions, communication vehicle and group integration.Thus, it was sought to contribute towards answering the following question: how have the coordinators communicated with education groups in Family Health, considering music as a teaching-learning strategy?The justification for conducting this study is the consideration that up to now, there are few researches in this area that present non traditional strategies in favor of more participative health education.
