Nucleon-nucleont-matrix interaction for scattering at intermediate energies

Abstract: A local nucleon-nucleon effective interaction based on current phenomenological nucleon-nucleon scattering amplitudes has been constructed at several bombarding energies between 50 and 1000MeV/nucleon within a dynamically nonrelativistic framework. The form of the interaction has been chosen for convenience in performing nucleon-nucleus scattering calculations in this energy range and for ease of comparison with one-boson-exchange potential models. Some properties of this interaction are compared with those of… Show more

“…The calculations were performed in Distorted-Wave Impulse Approximation (DWIA) using the computer code dw81 [40] with the effective nucleon-nucleon interaction of Love and Franey at 140 MeV [41]. Optical potentials were taken from Ref.…”

“…For this set of interactions, the medium modifications are applied to the Franey-Love (FL) [74] parametrization of the free t-matrix, which is available for all relevant energies, and common fitting strategies and constraints were used to help smooth the energy dependence of the fitted parameters. These choices are made primarily for aesthetic reasons and have very little effect upon knockout calculations.…”
