Abstract:As a data-driven, equation-free decomposition method, the DMD can characterise dynamic behaviour of a nonlinear system by using the DMD modes and eigenvalues. However, all current provable algorithms suffer from a separate procedure for obtaining the DMD modes and determining the number of modes. In this study, the authors propose a nuclear norm regularised DMD (NNR-DMD) algorithm that produces low-dimensional spatio-temporal modes. A nuclear norm regularisation term is added to the optimisation problem of the… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
