Nuclear levels inDy161by the (d, p), (

Abstract: We have investigated the levels of the ' 'Dy nucleus with (d, p) and (d, t) reactions using 12 MeV deuterons and a broad range magnetic spectrograph, with angular distribution analysis of the (d, t) reaction using 15 MeV deuterons and a semiconductor detector telescope, and with the (n, y) reaction over the y-ray energy range from 25 to 6500 keV using Ge(Li) detectors and a large NaI annulus. The states observed are discussed in terms of the Nilsson model and comparisons are made with the levels in ' 'Er and … Show more

“…Skin pigmentation involves a set of complex developmental mechanisms occurring outside as well as inside the embryonic skin, such as (i) emergence of the melanocyte lineage among neural crest cells, (ii) the migration of melanocyte precursors from the neural primordium to the epidermis and hair follicles, and (iii) cell proliferation and final maturation of melanoblasts into melanin-producing cells, as reviewed in Bennett (40). ␣MSH is thought to play an important role in the differentiation of mouse melanocytes in the epidermis and hair bulb by inducing tyrosinase activity, melanin formation, increased dendricity and transfer of melanosomes.…”

“…The first deliberate use of this effect to pattern structures was by Baumgart coworkers, who used the thermocapillary dewetting to generate structures for magnetic memory. [103][104][105] Grigoropolous, one of the coauthors of these initial studies, and others would develop the optical analysis 105,106 and necessary models to predict these deformations. 107 Their model, which used finite difference time domain analysis of the velocity profile to track the evolving height, predicted the early evolution of the metallic structures, but not the eventual formation of a sort of reverse dewetting, resulting in small central caps (the so called "sombrero" features) [ Fig.…”

“…These features in metal alloys have been attributed to solid state solvocapillary effects, namely, the diffusion of species within the alloy increasing the surface tension and therefore causing a backflow as the concentration shifts. 102,103 Despite these and other investigations in metals 108 and later silicon, 109,110 thermocapillary dewetting of polymers by LSA was only investigated in the past decade. The first method to accomplish this was developed by Lyutakov and coworkers.…”

“…The entanglement of formation represents the minimum of the average entanglement of an ensemble of pure states representing ρ 2qb [115]. It corresponds to the minimal number of maximally entangled qubits per realization 2 needed to generate the entangled states described by ρ 2qb [116,117]. Remarkably, for a 2-qubit, it has a closed expression in terms of the concurrence [115]:…”
