Abstract-Existing approaches to the adaptation of workflows over web services fall short in two respects. First, they only provide, if ever, limited means for taking into account the execution history of a workflow. Second, they do not support adaptations that require modifications not only at the service composition level but also at the levels of interceptors and service implementations. This is particular problematic for the enforcement of security properties over workflows: enforcing authorization properties, for instance, frequently requires execution contexts to be defined and modifications to be applied at all these abstraction levels of web services.We present two main contributions in this context. First, we introduce workflow adaptation schemas (WAS), a new notion of generic protocol-based workflow adapters. WAS enable the declarative definition of adaptations involving complex service compositions and implementations. Second, we present two realworld security issues related to the use of OAuth 2.0, a recent and widely used framework for the authorization of resource accesses. As we motivate, these security issues require historybased adaptations over different abstraction levels of services. We then show how to resolve these issues using WAS.

Abstract. The increasing popularity of mobile devices fosters the omnipresence of services in mobile environments. Software systems in a mobile environment often want to manage a set of services that form a logical group and orchestrate the execution of a particular process for all its members. To orchestrate a group of services, abstractions are required which allow control over the execution in a way that transcends the individual process of a single member. Currently, existing languages do not offer adequate abstractions to perform said group orchestration in a reliable way. In this paper we present high-level abstractions for group orchestration as a new set of workflow patterns. We show how these patterns are integrated in an existing workflow language for nomadic networks, i.e. NOW. The workflow language NOW handles network and service failures at the core of the language. By extending this fault tolerance to the new group abstractions, we show how to conduct these in a reliable way.

In this paper we argue the need for orchestration support for participatory campaigns to achieve campaign quality, and automatisation of said support to achieve scalability, both issues contributing to stakeholder usability. This goes further than providing support for defining campaigns, an issue tackled in prior work. We provide a formal definition for a campaign by extracting commonalities from the state of the art and expertise in organising noise mapping campaigns. Next, we formalise how to ensure campaigns end successfully, and translate this formal notion into an operational recipe for dynamic orchestration. We then present a framework for automatising campaign definition, monitoring and orchestration which relies on workflow technology. The framework is validated by re-enacting several campaigns previously run through manual orchestration and quantifying the increased efficiency.
