Novel methyl‐orange assisted core‐shell polyaniline‐silver nanosheets for highly sensitive ammonia chemiresistors

Abstract: A cost‐effective, eco‐friendly, one‐pot synthesis of a new class of homogenous core‐shell polyaniline‐silver nanocomposite was fabricated with the assistance of supramolecular aggregates of amphiphilic methyl‐orange (MO) and oxidant ions of silver nitrate (AgNO3). The morphology of nanocomposite transforms from spherical (core‐shell type: PA‐1) to plate‐like polygonal particles (PA‐2) with surge in concentration of AgNO3. The strong contrast of the TEM images depicts the presence of silver (Ag) at core and pol… Show more

“…1,2 So, the development of a quick responsive, highly selective, and the stable sensor is the most urgent requirement that should consume less power, trace a small amount of gas, and operate at low temperatures. [3][4][5] Numerous types of nanostructured nanomaterials are used to detect the various type of gases such as metal oxide, conducting polymers, 4,6,7 carbon nanotubes, graphene oxide, and metal-organic framework, etc. [8][9][10] Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is a highly explosive gas that is widely used in domestic and industries and it is very harmful to the human being as well as the environment.…”

“…The HNC fabrication is established through visible indicators like color change (green or pale yellow for PAN). [ 37 ] These strategies include dip coating, spin coating, drop‐casting, spray coating, and inkjet printing. In this direction, Jin et al [ 130 ] fabricated the MXP HNC of PEDOT:PSS and Ti 3 C 2 T x using chemical‐based polymerization of EDOT monomer over Ti 3 C 2 T x ‐MXene to manifest PSS ( Figure a).…”
