“…The infrared spectra studies of 4 ( a – e ) also revealed the presence of ν(C=C) bands which are usually found for benzene and benzofuran groups. In addition, the compounds 4 ( a – e ) revealed two distinct ν(C=O) bands in the range of 1725–1682 cm −1 in which the ν(C=O) band with the lower wave number is attributed to the C=O of carboxylate anion [21,22,23,24]. Two exceptional cases which are the presence of ν(C-Cl) at 1086 cm −1 in 4b and the presence of ν(NO 2 ) at 1524 cm −1 in 4e were observed.…”

“…All compounds exhibited three distinct sets of carbon signals in the 13 C-NMR spectra. In the downfield region of 13 C NMR spectra, both δ(C=O) and δ(COO) signals are located at δ ≈ 183.71 ppm and δ ≈ 165.47 ppm, respectively, whereas the -CH 2 - carbon signals are located in the upfield region centering around δ ≈ 66.42 ppm [22,23,24]. The exceptional and predictable observations are the occurrence of -CH 3 and -OCH 3 carbon signals of compounds 4c and 4d , respectively, in the upfield region of 13 C-NMR spectra.…”

“…Furochromones ( Khellin and visnagin) are one of the important heterocyclic compounds that need to be studied due to their remarkable biological activity as a potent antimicrobial agent and its derivatives showed remarkable antimicrobial activity against bacteria and Candida species, [1][2][3] phototherapeutic [4] potential, antispasmodic action, [5] anti-Inflammatory [3] analgesic and anticonvulsant effect, [6,7] in vitro cytotoxicity [8] and as antiviral. [9][10][11] In addition to its folk use, recently, pharmaceutical companies realized the pharmacological effect of furochromones as coronary vasodilator drug and to treat a variety of diseases as bronchial asthma, angina pectoris, and also some furochromen derivatives are component for the treatment of chronic skin or eye diseases, furochromone drugs in market are used in ophthalmic and in treatment of dermatological diseases. [12] Recently, it has been known that khellin analogs with lower toxicity and better efficacy have ability to curative vitiligo and psoriasis, [13][14][15][16][17] so most current researches are A SERIES of VO II , Ni II , Cu II , Co II , Mn II , Cd II and Zn II complexes of new Schiff base ligand resulting form 4-aminoantipyrine and Furobenzopyrone were prepared.…”

“…Benzimidazoles of both natural and synthetic source are the key components of many active compounds , since they are among the most extensively studied classes of heterocyclic compounds due to their chemotherapeutic application such as antitumor , antiviral , antimicrobial , antihypertensive, anti‐inflammatory , and 5‐HT3 receptor antagonistic . Although benzimidazole is one of the oldest and chemically well‐studied nitrogen heterocycles as multi‐component nucleus, it was longly neglected till 1950 when it was discovered that this moiety was an integral part of the structure of vitamin B 12 .…”
