Note on the carcinological fauna associated with Artemia salina (Branchiopoda, Anostraca) from Sebkha Ez-Zemoul (northeast Algeria)

Abstract: In Algeria, the presence of Artemia is confirmed at five sites, among which the hypersaline Sebkha Ez-Zemoul, a shallow depression situated in a semi-arid region in the northeast of Algeria at 900 m above sea level. Four species of crustaceans were found to be associated here with Artemia salina: Phallocryptus spinosa, Cletocamptus retrogressus, Moina salina, and Heterocypris sp.
