“…Os associados à terapia hormonal de feminilização/masculinização para a pessoa trans são, com hormônios feminizantes: doença tromboembólica venosa, cálculos biliares, enzimas hepáticas elevadas, aumento de peso, hipertrigliceridemia, doença cardiovascular, hipertensão, hiperprolactinemia ou prolactinoma, diabetes tipo 2 e câncer de mama; já com hormônios masculinizantes, os riscos são: policitemia, aumento de peso, acne, alopecia androgênica, apneia do sono, enzimas hepáticas elevadas, hiperlipidemia, desestabilização de certos transtornos psiquiátricos, doenças cardiovasculares, hipertensão, diabetes tipo 2, perda de densidade óssea, câncer de mama, câncer cervical, câncer de ovário e câncer uterino.
