This article presents a methodological approach to solving the problem of predicting local methane accumulations in order to prevent occupational injuries resulting from explosions of methane-air mixtures. On the basis of the analysis of accidents that occurred in coal mines and industrial injuries of miners (mine workers) it is established that the leading role belongs to explosions of methane-air mixtures. The method/methodology considered in the article is based on a comprehensive analysis, first of all, of both mining and geological and other influencing factors and conditions of operating mines of the Pechersk coal basin, as well as aerogas-dynamic processes of mass transfer of air flows in mine workings. The assumption about influence of mining equipment on the process of formation of methane accumulation sites is made. The algorithm of consecutive actions of managerial engineering and technical personnel to reduce industrial injuries is proposed. The developed algorithm implies the use of applied software for modelling aerogas-dynamic processes in the mining excavation operating region. FlowVision and ANSYS Fluent application software packages were selected to determine the methane accumulation locations based on the analysis of existing application programmes.

The article provides an analysis of the relevance of the use of yeast probiotic drugs, their use in agriculture is considered. The results of practical studies on the effect of a probiotic drug based on kluyveromyces marxianus on the productive indicators of laying hens are presented. The article presents data reflecting the indicators of the productive qualities of laying hens, on the basis of which the conclusions confirming the effectiveness of the use of a probiotic drug based on kluyveromyces marxianus in egg poultry farming are summarised and presented.

The article presents the results of studies conducted on the inclusion of Presan and Selko pH feed additives produced on the basis of organic acids in the feeding diets of Ross-308 cross broiler chickens. Organic acids and their salts are used in poultry farming as an alternative to feed antibiotics, and also has the ability to prevent the development of intestinal bacterial infection, increase the resistance of the body, thereby improving the absorption of feed nutrients and increasing poultry productivity. The largest preslaughter weight was in the groups of cockerels getting the T6 diet without antibiotics adding, which is 1.92% more than the groups getting the T1-control diet. In addition, the output of the pectoral and femoral muscles was higher by chickens getting a T6 diet by 0.5 and 0.3%, in contrast to groups getting a standard diet. Thus, it has been experimentally proven that the tested feed additives Presan and Selko pH do not reduce the slaughter performance of broilers.
