“…Let N be the total number of compound hadrons produced in these 9 events and n aj the multiplicity of compound hadrons in the j-th bin of the a-th event. The theory of multifractals [39] motivates one to consider the normalized density P aj defined by P aj = n aj /N (8) and to consider the quantity M q q a j a j T x P q 1 1 ( ) ln for 0 9 @ = = = > å å (9) which behaves like a linear function of the logarithm of the "resolution" R(@ x). q is the order number.…”

“…It would be interesting to study the behaviour of the compound multiplicity spectra using the available tools since it may reveal more information about the inner dynamics of the particle production in high energy nuclear interactions. So far only limited attempts have been made to work with this parameter [9][10][11][12][13].…”

“…The analyses of individual collision events at SPS and RHIC energies have been argued to statistically reliable as the multiplicities of these events would be high enough and the statistical fluctuations may be treated as under control [15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22]. Moreover, from the study of such events with strong fluctuations, information about the dominance of dynamical components of fluctuations over the statistical ones can be extracted, which, in turn, would provide more insight into the underlying dynamics of high multiplicity events [23,24]. Analyses of one "hadron-rich" event [25] in the context of Centauro event, single event distributions [26], single event / ratio [27], intermittency in individual events, entropy and cluster analysis in single events [21,22], and so on are some of the investigations carried out so far.…”

“…The behaviour of the compound multiplicity spectra is to be probed thoroughly with the available sophisticated tools. So far only limited attempts have been made with this parameter [35][36][37][38][39].…”
