Abstract: The parasympathetic nervous system controls submandibular glands (SMG) functions in physiological and pathological conditions via muscarinic acetylcholine receptors (mAchR). We had previously demonstrated that IFNgamma and carbachol stimulate amylase secretion in normal murine SMG by mAchR activation.
