Recently, other studies have shown that diversity of the nirK or nirS could be enriched in the range of high COD and NH 4 + -N concentration (Gabarró et al 2014). Yu et al (2014) also found a differential response of the nitrate reductase genes of nirS to concentrations of DO and to concentrations of NO 3 − -N.
