“…Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) tem semelhança com o método de prensagem a quente. No entanto, ele permite obter alta densificação com baixo crescimento de grãos usando menores temperaturas e tempos de sinterização(BO- NACHE et al, 2011;KAWANO;KAKEMOTO;IRIE, 2015;KIESLICH et al, 2013).Uma configuração típica do sistema de SPS é apresentada na Figura 14.Esse sistema é composto por uma máquina com eixos verticais, mecanismos para aplicação de pressão, punções com função de eletrodo, gerador de corrente alternada e câmara de vácuo ou atmosfera controlada com sistema de refrigeração a base de água. Além disso, o equipamento também apresenta sistemas de controle de vácuo/atmosfera, temperatura, pressão, refrigeração e do deslocamento dos punções.Mesmo tendo as desvantagens da baixa produtividade, limitações no formato e tamanho da amostra e do maior investimento do equipamento de SPS, vários pesquisadores vêm estudando este método em diferentes tipos de sistemas de difícil sinterização.…”
