et al.

Abstract: The design and synthesis of a bifunctional catalyst to tackle environmental pollution caused by 2-chloroethyl ethyl sulfide (CEES) and phenolic compounds is meaningful. In this study, a new three-dimensional (3D) polyoxovanadate (POV)-based metal-organic framework, [Co(L)(V 4 O 12 ) 0.5 (H 2 O)]•2H 2 O (1; L = N,N'-bis(3methylpyridin-3-yl)-2,6-naphthalenediamide), was synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. 1 was characterized using single-crystal Xray diffraction analysis, infrared spectroscopy, and powder… Show more

“…As shown in Figure S10, all the diffraction peaks are in agreement with the simulated peaks from the single-crystal data. The FTIR spectra of compounds 1 and 2 are displayed in Figure S9, and the characteristic bands at 900–1000 and 500–650 cm –1 are attributed to the VO stretching mode and V–O–V bending vibrations, respectively. The apparent absorption bands in the 1200–1600 cm –1 region are assigned to CC and CN of ligand tpi. The broad band at around 3400 cm –1 belongs to the O–H stretching vibration.…”

“…Coordination polymers (CPs) are a diverse class of materials that form a wide range of two- and three-dimensional architectures for applications such as CO 2 collection, photoluminescence, dye adsorption, magnetic characteristics, drug delivery, sensing, and photocatalysis. 7,8 These materials are used as sensors to detect nitroaromatic compounds and pharmaceutical wastes. They also decompose waste products when exposed to UV radiation and hence can be employed as photocatalytic materials for the safe and sustainable decomposition of dyes and antibiotics in waste water discharge.…”
