New theoretical treatment of ion resonance phenomena

Abstract: Despite experimental evidence supporting ICR-like interactions in biological systems, to date there is no reasonable theoretical explanation for this phenomenon. The parametric resonance approach introduced by Lednev has enjoyed limited success in predicting the response as a function of the ratio of AC magnetic intensity to that of the DC field, explaining the results in terms of magnetically induced changes in the transition probability of calcium binding states. In the present work, we derive an expression … Show more

“…Since the work of Liboff et al [20,21] the most likely mechanism is believed to be based on cyclotron resonance, the effect of ions moving through the membrane channels [22]. However, some studies have criticized this mechanism [23,24].…”

“…We build multi-phase models of biological tissue with biological tissue structure based on its identical function as a composite part of the dielectric material is processed in the same phase and each phase as a unified system. Establishment of biological architecture model can help us to simplify complex biological constitution, so the bio-material characteristic can meet the appropriate theory formula [3][4]. Since each model is calculated using the physiological model, and in the following models the calculating dielectric models of biological systems also using these formulas.…”

“…11). Most previous analyses of AC resonance conditions for EMF bioeffects have treated only a single phase or set of initial conditions [Lednev, 1991[Lednev, , 1993Blanchard and Blackman, 1994;Pilla, 1994, 1996;Moggia et al, 1997;Pilla et al, 1997;Zhadin, 1998;Cappelli et al, 2004;Zhadin and Barnes, 2005;Vincze et al, 2008]. However, it is unlikely that the precise values of initial conditions can be known and it has been suggested that results such as these could be susceptible to cancellation over phase-averaging [Adair, 1992].…”
