New Spectrophotometric Method of Amlodipine Besylate Determination and its Validation

Abstract: Simple, accurate, and precise spectrophotometric method has been developed and validated for the estimation of amlodipine besylate (AML) in tablets. The method is based on the condensation of AML with sodium 1,2-naphthoquinone-4-sulphonate in an alkaline medium when the reaction mixture was heated at 363 K for 1 min to form an orange-colored product.
