Abstract:Alopecia areata (AA) is a common and complex T-cell-mediated inflammatory disorder. It may be patchy (localized), involve the entire scalp (alopecia totalis) or entire body (alopecia universalis). Alopecia totalis and universalis are often difficult to treat.
