Abstract:4 rhesus monkeys were trained to operate a primate equilibrium platform. Multiple baselines were collected for each subject to ensure that performance was stable. Previous research determined time within shock limits as a measure of subject's performance. It is shown here that this measure does not necessarily define how well the subject performs the task. New metrics (RMS, adjusted RMS, Static, and Prime 5) are shown to be more sensitive in detecting differences between subjects during both baseline and treat… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
