New medications for the treatment of acne

Abstract: Several new medications, both with novel molecules and modified delivery systems, have been developed for the treatment of acne vulgaris. Trifarotene 0.005% cream, tretinoin 0.05% lotion, and tazarotene 0.045% lotion expand topical retinoid options while minocycline 4% foam and systemic sarecycline provide new antibiotic choices for patients.
