New insights into theDs0*(2317)and other charm scalar mesons

Abstract: Through the scattering of light-pseudoscalar mesons (π, K, η, η ′ ) off charmed mesons (D, D s ), we study the D * s0 (2317) state and other relevant charm scalar mesons in a unitarized chiral effective field theory approach. We investigate the charm scalar meson poles with different strangeness (S) and isospin (I) quantum numbers as well as their corresponding residues, which provide the coupling strengths of the charm scalar mesons. Both the light-quark mass and N C dependences of the pole positions of the D… Show more

“…Noting that the light quark mass in this calculation lies between the physical light and strange quark masses, and ignoring the differences due to flavour, the relative position of the pole to the threshold lies between what is observed experimentally for the resonant D 0 (2400) and the bound D s0 (2317). Qualitatively, such behaviour is anticipated from unitarised chiral perturbation theory amplitudes [39,56,57].…”

“…Near the D s π threshold, the uand t-channel loops dominate in the SU (2) chiral limit, which indicates that the left-hand cuts are non-negligible. In the NLO case, the scattering length a (1,1) Ds π →Ds π is negligible in the SU (2) chiral limit [25,33].…”

“…Compared to the NLO fits [13,33], the NNLO fits have larger χ 2 values, even though three more LECs g i (i = 1, 2, 3) are included in the fits. Furthermore, the values of some LECs are too large to be natural.…”
