New N‐allylated monomers in the synthesis of practical valuable high‐molecular‐weight compounds

Abstract: Methods for the synthesis of N‐allylated monomers of new structural types based on transformations of hydrazides of carboxylic acids and guanidine have been developed. A reactivity of N,N‐diallyl‐N′‐acylhydrazines (DAH) and 2,2‐diallyl‐1,1,3,3‐tetraethylguanidiniumchloride (AGC) in reactions of free‐radical homo‐ and copolymerization with sulfur dioxide and vinyl monomers has been studied. The structure of the polymers obtained was identified by NMR 13C. Investigations carried out showed DAH and AGC to copolym… Show more

“…VP-DAAH copolymers were prepared by radical copolymerization in the bulk in the presence of AIBN at 80°С [23]. As found by 13 С NMR spectroscopy, copolymerization of DAAH with N-vinylpyrrolidone involves both double bonds of DAAH and occurs with the formation of fi ve-membered pyrrolidine structures ( Table 1).…”

“…The copolymers of 2,2-diallyl-1,1,3,3-tetraethylquanidiniumchloride with VP and VA have been obtained by free radical polymerization according to the methods described in our publications. 40,41 The IR spectra of poly(AGC-VP) and poly(AGC-VA) contain several characteristic bands that are useful for the structural characterization of the polymers. In all spectra, we observe characteristic aliphatic methylene stretches between 3100 and 2850 cm 21 and guanidine C@N stretches are seen at 1551 cm 21 .…”
