New Framework for FCMs Using Dual Hesitant Fuzzy Sets with an Analysis of Risk Factors in Emergency Event

Abstract: As a kind of soft computing tool with strong knowledge representation and causal reasoning ability, fuzzy cognitive maps (FCMs) is a product of fuzzy logic and neural network. A limitation of the current FCMs method is its inability to model the uncertainty that is introduced into a complex system due to the hesitancy of people. Dual hesitant fuzzy sets (DHFSs), which considers the membership and nonmembership degrees by a set of possible values respectively, is an effective tool to model the hesitancy and epi… Show more

“…On the basis of hesitant fuzzy sets, Zhu et al proposed dual hesitant fuzzy sets considering non-membership degree [ 33 ]. As an important tool in the field of multi-attribute decision-making, hesitant fuzzy theory has been further studied by many experts and scholars [ 34 ]. It is used in combination with many other related theories, such as TOPSIS and Choquet integrals [ 35 ].…”

“…Lee et al [66] developed an FCM-based holistic method to solve the semantic ambiguity problems due to different FCMs, thus ensuring semantic enhancement and interoperability through effective collaboration. In addition, [67] highlighted the inability of the FCM to model the uncertainty introduced by people's hesitation in a complex system and how this can affect the reliability of the entire decision-making process. erefore, they refer to the dual hesitant fuzzy sets (DHFSs) theory to consider the degree of membership and nonmembership to model uncertainty and epistemic uncertainty.…”

“…The TSDM problems have been widely existed in diverse applications, such as marriage matching [1,2], college admission matching [3,4], roommate matching [5,6], firm and employee matching [7,8], and task and volunteer teams [9]. In practical TSDM problem, it is common that the individuals express the demand information via the preference ordering and linguistic evaluation [10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18].…”
