New Core and Spectrum Balancing Algorithms for Space Division Multiplexed Elastic Optical Networks

Abstract: This paper proposes two new algorithms for core and spectrum allocation in Elastic Optical Networks with Space Division Multiplexing. In order to avoid the effect of inter-core crosstalk, a Core Balancing Algorithm (CBA) is proposed for core allocation, and a Spectrum Balancing Algorithm (SBA) for spectral allocation.
