New control strategy for suppressing the local vibration of sandwich beams based on the wave propagation method

Abstract: The general vibration control strategy of beam structures is a global vibration control method based on the principle of modal superposition. However, the vibration wave control of beams can achieve local control of the vibration energy. This paper presents a wave control method for the local vibration control of fractional viscoelastic composite beams based on the operating principle of a piezoelectric sheet. To obtain better control performance, a particle swarm optimization algorithm was adopted to optimize… Show more

“…DCM is a numerical procedure expressing a calculus operator (ℜ) value of the function ( f ( x , y ) ) at a discrete point in the solution domain as a weighted linear sum of discrete function values chosen within the overall domain of a problem. For a two-dimensional problem, supposing that there are N arbitrarily located grid points, the cubature approximation at the i th discrete point can be expressed as (Eftekhari, 2016; Kolahci, 2017a; Xu et al, 2022)…”

“…For instance, Martin's improved variational iteration method has demonstrated notable proficiency in the dynamic analysis of simply supported viscoelastic beams utilizing the fractional Zener model, which has shown good performance in solving fractional differential equations (Olga, 2019). In recent work, Xu et al (2020aXu et al ( , 2022 explored the dynamic characteristics and steady-state response of fractional order viscoelastic beam structures employing the wave propagation method. Chen et al (2015) applied the wavelet method to solve nonlinear fractional differential equations, offering a different perspective on solving complex problems.…”
