Neuromyelitis optica: it is time to move one step further

Abstract: N euromyelitis optica (NMO) is an autoimmune inflammatory channelopathy of the central nervous system mediated by serum antibodies against aquaporin-4 (AQP4-IgG), which affects mainly the optic nerves and the spinal cord .
