Neuromuscular parameters and anaerobic power of U-20 futsal players

Abstract: The current investigation aimed to find the difference between right and left lower limb strength of quadriceps and hamstring muscles and describe young futsal players' explosive strength and anaerobic power. The study comprised 12 university male U-20 futsal players (74.5 ± 9.7 kg;173.2 ± 7.2 cm; 18.7 ± 1.2 yrs.). Isometric strength was measured using an isometric dynamometer, lower limb explosive strength was assessed through the Countermovement Jump and anaerobic power was estimated with the Wingate test. I… Show more

“…Whilst RPP parameter was measured as 12.04 W/kg in this study, RPP was detected as 10.61 W/kg in undergraduate badminton players (Wee et al, 2017) and as 16.27 W/kg in young tennis players (Simpson et al, 2017). Whereas PP parameter of the futsal players was found as 763.55 W and RPP as 11.41 W/kg in this study, in literature, Kassiano et al (2019) showed PP as 998.3 W and RPP as 13.2 W/kg, and De Souza et al…”

“…And their average blood lactate levels were measured above 5.3 mmol (Castagna et al, 2009). There exists quite a lot aerobic (Barbero-Alvarez et al, 2008;Castagna et al, 2009) andanaerobic (de Souza et al, 2014;Kassiano et al, 2019) performance measurements, detections of fatigue and lactate levels (Barbero-Alvarez et al, 2008), biochemical studies (Nogueira et al, 2018), elite and sub-elite comparisons (Ramos Campo et al, 2016), biomechanical studies (Barbero-Alvarez et al, 2008) and training models about futsal players in literature. Comparisons were made with football, handball (de Souza et al, 2014) and basketball (Ramos-Campo et al, 2014) in general which are team sports similar to futsal.…”

“…In addition, a novel aspect was that the findings could be used as reference for the evaluation of physical fitness in futsal. For instance, the WAnT was used previously in futsal, only on either a limited number of futsal players ( n = 6) [37], mixed sample with soccer players [38], women [39], or U20 players [40]. Future studies might use more detailed methods to assess body composition (e.g., DEXA, bioimpedance analysis) in order to provide information on the role of muscle mass.…”

“…Beberapa ahli mengemukakan pendapat tentang lari cepat. Menurut (Kassiano et al, 2019) menjelaskan lari jarak pendek (sprint) adalah semua peserta perlombaan berlari dengan kecepatan penuh sepanjang jarak yang harus ditempuh. Kontraksi otot pada setiap bagian tubuh tersebut berlaku sejak saat start sampai melewati garis finish.…”
