The involvement of the nervous system has been noted in 20 to 60 per cent of leukemias32, 40.43.71,85,94,101,112). However, the spinal involvement is less common (5 per cent) 70,102,106). There have been about 95 reports of such complication in the Western countries since the report of Burns (1824)1w, and 40 of such in Japan.The purpose of this paper is to report of our recent case of myelogenouss leukemia with spinal complication, and to discuss the pathogenesis of such complication, reviewing the literature.
