“…As shown in the table (5) there are signi cant and positive correlations between BMI with resistin (r = 0.55, p = 0.0001; gure A), leptin with BMI (0.21, p = 0.038; gure F), irsin with BMI (0.31, p = 0.0001; gure D) in lung cancer patients. In control group all correlations were no signi cant except irsin with BMI show signi cant and positive correlations coe cient (r = 0.53, p = 0.0001).…”

“…The most signi cant factor in enhancing patient outcomes and survival rates is the discovery of accurate biomarkers to support early detection, diagnosis, and treatment monitoring [4]. Researchers have recently been examining the relationship between different physiological markers and the onset and spread of lung cancer, which can offer important insights into a person's physiological condition [3,5]. Leptin, Resistin, and Irisin are a few examples of the genetic, molecular, cellular, or biochemical components that may be included in these indicators and whose levels may change as cancer develops [4,5].…”

“…These studies' results help generate new reliable diagnostic biomarkers [ 66 ]. (4) Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition: EMT can induce airway epithelial fibrosis and promote smooth muscle hyperplasia and extracellular matrix deposition, destroy the epithelial barrier, and aggravate airway inflammation, which is a crucial step in airway remodeling [ 67 , 68 ]. Azithromycin was found improved airway remodeling by inhibiting the EMT process in OVA-induced asthmatic mice [ 69 ].…”

“…Cancer is one of the major threats to human health, and the incidence of cancer continues to increase worldwide . Among them, lung cancer is one of the cancers with higher mortality, and most lung cancer patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage, resulting in historically poor median overall survival (OS) and no significant reduction in morbidity. Chemotherapeutic drugs were commonly used in lung cancer treatment, but the low therapeutic index, severe treatment-associated adverse effects, and multidrug resistance developed by tumor cells hampered their clinical application. , Gene-based, such as DNA, miRNA, and siRNA, therapeutic strategies have attracted increasing attention for lung cancer treatment because of their great potential to eliminate malignant tumors. Successful gene-based therapy depends on the effective delivery of therapeutic genes into tumor cells. Instead of virus-based vector systems, increasing efforts have been made to design nonviral gene carriers due to their high security and good immunogenicity. …”
