Nanoparticles of gamma-Al2O3 as persperctive fillers of thermoplastic polymers improving their barrier properties

VAN BAEL 1)3) , HEIDI VAN DEN RUL 1)3) , ROOS PEETERS 2) , JULES MULLENS 1) , DIRK FRANCO 2) *) Nanoparticles of γ-Al 2 O 3 as perspective fillers of thermoplastic polymers improving their barrier properties * *) Summary-The preliminary results of preparation of γ-Al 2 O 3 nanoparticles occurring in special lamellar form were presented. The filler form should advantageously influence the barrier properties of the thermoplastic polymers, filled with such nanofillers.
