МОРФОЛОГІЯ / MORPHOLOGYincreased to 231.85±18.3 μm, which we also considered a negative effect of cadmium on vascular liver parenchyma system. Compared to the control, the difference in the diameter of the central lobular vein was significant (р≤0.001).Conclusions. Chronic exposure to cadmium chloride at a dose of 2.0 mg/kg led to changes in the morphological structure of the liver of experimental animals, which was manifested by a significant increase in the thickness of the liver capsule, an increase in the diameter of blood vessels with local hemorrhages in the parenchyma of the organ (on the 30th day of the experiment), an increase in the number connective tissue elements and parenchyma compaction in an experiment on rats. Chronic administration of cadmium chloride to rats leads to an increase in the activity of aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase in the blood of male rats compared to the control group at both time points of the study, which was confirmed by the calculation of the de Ritis coefficient and indicates the negative effect of cadmium on the histogenesis of the liver of experimental animals.
