“…The emergence of the pro-am logic highlights athletes' desire to remain students while receiving the benefits of being a professional such as increased scholarship funds, training with professional organizations and robust networks. Robertson et al (2022b) found professional sport organizations navigating plural institutional environments successfully employed two hybrid responses; aligned and segregated. They found when social and business logics were in alignment organizations were able to leverage community activities to be positive business outcomes.…”
