Domain ontologies are intended to provide a commonly shared understanding among several user communities. Concepts and their relationships are used to explicitly model the realworld phenomena that are of interest to users of specific domain. In practice, a set of a specificdomain applications use different representations of the same real-world entity due to various viewpoints, context and specific interest. In this paper, we are interested in the problem of representing an ontology in heterogeneous organisation by taking into account different viewpoints and different terminologies of various users, groups or even communities in the organisation. Such ontology, called Multi-Viewpoints Ontology, allows heterogeneity and consensus in a heterogeneous organisation. So, our goal is to propose a Multi-Viewpoints Ontology Web Language, which is an extension of OWL-DL language, to allow the multiviewpoints ontologies representation for the Semantic Web. and a co-head of the SI&BC research group at the LIRE laboratory. Her research interests include knowledge representation and knowledge base design; formal knowledge representation models and query languages for the Semantic Web. This paper will address the context-sensitive knowledge representation problem of ontology. The author regards the notion of context as a set of dimensions. The approach of applying dimensions to ontology is presented as a framework named Dimensional Ontology (DO). After analyzing different approaches for ontology contextualization, the author explores deeply the concepts and semantics of dimensions. Conforming to some standards, DO is designed and implemented as an integrated and extendable framework with multiple practical supporting components, which is one of the greatest advantages compared with other solutions.

An extension of the Dublin Core Collections Application Profile (DCCAP ) suitable for representing context-dependent collection level metadata, is presented in this paper. The extended model, called Multidimensional DCCAP, is based on a multidimensional extension of RDF. Contexts are specified by assigning values to a set of appropriately chosen parameters called dimensions. The proposed extension allows the user to encode metadata for each defined context enriching substantially in this way the expressive power of the metadata model. Multidimensional DCCAP metadata model allows to represent the collection development evolution as well as to keep information created for various users categories, with various degrees of detail, or even in different languages.
