Zacatlán y Chignahuapan son dos Pueblos Mágicos cuyos flujos turísticos anuales dependen de los dos núcleos urbanos más cercanos a ellos: la Ciudad de México y Puebla. Ambas localidades, ubicadas en Puebla, mantienen una interacción espacial soportada en la complementariedad por encima de la competencia, resultado de los recursos turísticos puestos en valor, el tipo de servicios ofertados y la proximidad geográfica entre ellas, que actúa como ventaja comparativa. En este texto, elaborado a partir de metodologías mixtas, se evidencia cómo se ha construido la complementariedad espacial a partir de la presencia de visitantes comunes, del desarrollo de infraestructura turística, y de los comportamientos estacionales de los flujos turísticos hacia las dos localidades, donde dicharelación espacial genera una complementariedad en la que los dos núcleos operan como una sola entidad espacial.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a huge impact on global service sector. In the pandemic background, to understand the disparity in service sector outputs at the global level is crucial for assessing the effectiveness of development policies in different countries. This study investigate the global service sector and it aims to investigate the transitional dynamics of the output from the service sector by adopting stochastic kernel analyses. Distribution dynamics analyses are carried out for all the countries in the world. The data are then divided into different regional and income groups to evaluate the impacts of geographical location and income on the development of the service sector. The results show that the Global North will continue to make greater strides, while the output capacity in many Global South countries struggles to reach the global average. Moreover, it is shown that countries with higher per capita income will perform better in the development of their service sector than those with low per capita income, thereby highlighting the persistence of global inequality. Finally, this study shows that the Sub-Saharan Africa region and the South Asia region both are very important in the alleviation of global inequality.

The growing demand for electricity, driven by factors such as the shift to carbon neutrality and economic growth, is a challenge shared by South Korea and Japan. South Korea, a peninsula nation, and Japan, an island country, which are both heavily dependent on foreign energy sources and have manufacturing-based industrial structures, are actively working to secure stable power supplies for their economic development. This article carries out a quantitative analysis of the roles of the South Korean and Japanese electric power sectors (EPSs) in their respective economies, seeking to identify differences and generate actionable insights for decision making and policy formulation. Utilizing the input–output (IO) technique with the latest available data, the analysis includes a demand-side model, a supply-side model, and a price-side model to examine various effects of the EPSs. The key findings reveal differences in the production-inducing, value-added creation, and job-creation effects between the two countries, highlighting operational disparities in their electricity sectors. Additionally, South Korea exhibits higher wage-inducing, supply shortage, and price-side effects than Japan, because of its public enterprise-oriented high-wage structure and a substantial manufacturing sector. These quantitative results provide valuable reference material for future government decisions and policy development in the EPS and emphasize the significant role and impact of the power sector in both countries.
