When a piece of LCD with CF period 77.51mm by 227.0um is laminated with a metal mesh touch screen whose period is 160.0um, discernable color moiré pattern occurs. It inflicts negative impact on the visual quality of touch products. This paper discusses the mechanism of the interference and also develops an effective model By means of simulation, the model and hence the mechanism is verified. It reveals that if proper mesh period and the gap between LCD and metal mesh are selected, color moiré pattern can be eliminated.
