Abstract:The shield type superconducting fault current limiters, due to their outstanding advantages, form an important category of SFCLs. Tunable shield type SFCL, is a novel device which introduces the extra advantage of controllable fault current limitation. As different limitation currents may be required in a voltage level of the power system, the tunability characteristic, besides the unification of devices, may eliminate the need for multiple SFCLs in power substations and result in reduction of total initial an… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
