Multifactor Analysis of Roadheader’s Body Pose Responses during the Horizontal Cutting Process

Abstract: Based on the Lagrange equation in system dynamics, aiming at the horizontal cutting process, the dynamical coupling model of boom-type roadheader’s body pose was established. According to input problem of solving the model, a calculation method of the cutting head load was proposed, and the relationship between the cutting head load and pressure of the driving cylinders and swing angle of the cutting arm was obtained through simulating analysis. The simulation model was established to solve the dynamical coupl… Show more

“…As a result, in most cases, manual control is used, which is time-consuming and unreliable, and it puts workers in a high-risk environment. erefore, realizing intelligent control is an urgent issue in underground coal mines [4][5][6]. e cutting arm, which is the key cutting component of the roadheader, is driven by a hydraulic cylinder.…”

“…It is worth noting that, We have analyzed the body pose responses of boom-type roadheader during the horizontal cutting process [17], and the multibody large-scale displacement responses of roadheader during the vertical cutting process [18], aiming at the flat coal seams. However, concerning the steep coal seams, which are much different from the flat coal seams, theoretical model and response characteristics of roadheader's attitude are still none reported in existed literatures.…”

“…This is a problem unique to underground mining equipment. [3][4][5] Roadheaders are core equipment for excavation in underground coal mines. These are used primarily to excavate roadways prior to coal mining.…”
