“…However, Leakage current same pattern was observed in SiR type insulators in [31]. However, if compared with 2000 h testing results of studies in [31,37,38], SiR sample insulators offered high resistance to leakage current.…”

“…This could be due to the different blends of the materials (fillers) that each manufacturer uses. It has been proven from previous research works that the shore A hardness measurements of the housing material of composite insulators are affected in a proportional way with the concentration of the ATH filler [20,21,27]. In this manner, it seems that B1, B2, D1, D2, E1 and F1 insulators might have higher ATH filler concentrations than A1, A2, C1 and C2 insulators.…”

“…Regarding the shore A hardness measurements on composite insulators, in Table 3 some results from other investigations [8,[20][21][22]27] are presented as well as the results of this paper. More specifically, Table 3 includes information about the range of shore A hardness measurement on new (unused-unaged) HTV silicone rubber with ATH filler, which is used as composite insulators' housing material.…”

“…Rahmat have done a lot of work to study the physical and chemical properties of polymer material. The hydrophobicity, mechanical test, leakage current test, Fourier infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) test are analyzed to study the influence of the multi-stress aging on high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber [ 14 – 16 ]. It is indicated that these analysis methods can be used to evaluate its performance and characterize the surface state.…”
