Multi-level legislative representation in an inchoate party system: Mass-elite ideological congruence in Brazil

Abstract: Research has suggested that fragmented political systems, incohesive parties, and weak programmatic links between voters and legislators can undermine the effectiveness of ideological legislative representation.
