The observed changes in extreme weather events reflect the influence of climate change caused by anthropogenic factors, in addition to natural climate variability. According to future climate projections, the increase in the average surface temperature will cause major changes in the average annual rainfall of almost the entire planet. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of possible scenarios of climate change on urban drainage system in locations situated at low latitudes. The specific location of the study was one of the Rio Cocó sub-basins in the city of Fortaleza-CE. It was used rainfall data generated by 6 (six) different global circulation models: bcc-CSM1, CanESM2, CCSM4, CESM1-CAM5, inmcm4 and MIROC5. These data were extracted and interpolated to the city of Fortaleza-CE. This information was used in order to generate new IDF equations designed for the future, by using the "Equidistance Quantile Matching Method", based on climate projections RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5. The new values of rainfall generated by these new IDF curves were used as input data to HEC-HMS program, which is capable of calculating flow and volume disposed in a particular basin. The results showed that large increases in flow rates and volumes disposed in the analyzed drainage system will occur, and that the RCP 8.5 scenario presented even more pronounced values than the ones generated by the scenario RCP 4.5.Keywords: Climate changes; IDF curves; Global circulation models; Urban drainage. RESUMOAs alterações observadas nos eventos climáticos extremos refletem a influência das mudanças climáticas ocasionados for fatores antropogênicos, além da variabilidade natural do clima. Segundo projeções climáticas futuras, o aumento da temperatura média da superfície terrestre, ocasionará fortes mudanças nas precipitações médias anuais de quase todo o planeta. O objetivo primordial desse artigo é avaliar o impacto dos possíveis cenários de mudanças climáticas em sistemas de drenagem urbana localizados em baixas latitudes. O local específico do estudo foi uma das sub-bacias do Rio Cocó, na cidade de Fortaleza-CE. Foram utilizados dados de precipitações oriundos de 6 (seis) modelos de circulação global, são eles: bcc-csm1, CanESM2, CCSM4, CESM1-CAM5, inmcm4 e MIROC5. Esses dados foram extraídos e interpolados para a cidade de Fortaleza-CE. Essas informações foram utilizadas com o intuito de gerar novas equações IDF projetadas para o futuro, através da utilização do "Método da Correspondência de Quantis Equidistantes", baseadas nas projeções climáticas RCP 4,5 e RCP 8,5. Os novos valores de precipitação gerados por essas novas curvas IDFs foram utilizados como um dos dados de entrada do programa HEC-HMS. Os resultados mostraram que devem ocorrer grandes aumentos nas vazões e volumes escoados no sistema de drenagem analisado, sendo que o cenário RCP 8.5 apresentou valores ainda mais acentuados do que o gerado pelo cenário RCP 4,5. A fim de obter informações acerca dos possíveis impactos no regime doscampos de precipitação e no regime de temperatura nas regiões hidrográficasbrasileiras em decorrência do aumento das emissões de gases de efeito estufa,este trabalho teve como objetivo analisar as projeções resultantes de novemodelos participantes do Coordinated Regional Climate Downscaling Experiment(CORDEX), considerando os cenários representative concentration pathways(RCP) 4.5 e RCP8.5 para o século XXI. Os modelos utilizados foram: Canadian Centrefor Climate Modelling and Analysis – Canadian Earth System Model (The secondgeneration) (CCCma-CanESM2), Commonwealth Scientific and IndustrialResearch Organization (version Mk3-6-0) (CSIRO-Mk3-6-0), Irish Centre for HighEnd Computing – European Community – EARTH (ICHEC-EC-EARTH), InstitutPierre Simon Laplace – 5 Component Models version A – Medium Resolution(IPSL-CMSA-MR), Model for Interdisciplinary Research on Climate version 5(MIROC5), Hadley Center Global Environment Model version 2 – Earth System(HadGEM2-ES), Max Planck Institute – Meteorology – Earth System Model (MPIM-ESM), Norwegian Climate Centre – Norwegian Earth System Model version1 – Medium resolution (NCC-NorESM1-M) e National Oceanic and AtmosphericAdministration – Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory – Earth System Modelversion 2M (NOAA-GFDL-ESM2M). Foram analisadas as anomalias e a tendênciados campos de precipitação e temperatura médias anuais no período de 2006a 2095. Todos os modelos projetaram aumento da temperatura em todas asregiões. Para o cenário RCP8.5, a anomalia da temperatura indicou aumentode até 1,58ºC na região hidrográfica amazônica. A precipitação também podeaumentar em algumas regiões hidrográficas. A mediana das anomalias sugeriuaumentos entre 10 e 30% no Atlântico Leste, Atlântico Nordeste Ocidental,Atlântico Nordeste Oriental, Paraguai, Parnaíba, Tocantins-Araguaia e SãoFrancisco. Anomalias negativas foram identificadas no sudeste e principalmenteno sul do Brasil, indicando reduções na precipitação. O teste de Mann-Kendall-Sen sugeriu uma possível intensificação no regime de precipitações anuais emgrande parte das regiões hidrográficas, exceto as do Atlântico Sul, Paraná eUruguai. Em ambos os cenários, o teste apontou ausência de tendência na regiãodo Atlântico Sul pela maioria dos modelos. Todos os modelos apresentaramtendência positiva significativa para a temperatura nos dois cenários e em todasas regiões. A maior e a menor tendência de aquecimento foram observadas nonorte e no sul do país, respectivamente.

The main socioeconomic activities in the municipality of Lagoa seca are related to family farming and the horticultural sector, which benefits from the characteristics of the region's soil and climate. Thus, the study aimed to carry out the calculation of the sequential water balance, aiming at verifying the oscillations of the climatic elements and determining and making available contributions for elaborations of rural, urban and agricultural planning. The monthly average rainfall data was characterized as a period of normal climatological, where, the software was used in electronic spreadsheets, to extract the values of the monthly and annual averages of the precipitation of the period from 1981 to 2019. The data of average temperature were estimated by the software Estima. Since the aforementioned municipality has no equipment to carry out such observation. The applied methodology was that of Thornthwaite & Mather for the computation of the sequential water balance. The BHS provides detailed knowledge of the climatic elements of the studied period, generating extraordinary information for government decision makers and for the elaborators of livestock, agricultural, agribusiness projects, for horticultural products, aiming at a sustainable development of the products in the studied area. The sequential water balance provided contributions to the analysis of the extreme values of the elements studied for the period from 1981 to 2019. The monthly evapotranspiration values for the municipality under study are linked to the geographic coordinates, mainly the orography. Soil compaction (urban and rural), vertical growth and the lack of afforestation close to the water table are increasing the evapotranspirastive power.
