Abstract: Astrocaryum aculeatum (tucumã) é uma palmeira amazônica, cuja polpa dos frutos, rica em vitamina A, pode ser consumida ao natural ou na forma de sorvete, suco, licor e doce. Sua propagação é demorada, existindo pouco conhecimento sobre a germinação das sementes e o desenvolvimento das plântulas.
