A detailed analysis of the foF2 data at a series of ionospheric stations is performed to reveal long-term trends independent of the long-term changes in geomagnetic activity during the recent decades (nongeomagnetic trends). The method developed by the author and published earlier is used. It is found that the results for 21 out of 23 stations considered agree well and give a relative nongeomagnetic trend of −0.0012 per year (or an absolute nongeomagnetic trend of about −0.012 MHz per year) for the period between 1958 and the mid-nineties. The trends derived show no dependence on geomagnetic latitude or local time, a fact confirming their independence of geomagnetic activity. The consideration of the earlier period (1948-1985) for a few stations for which the corresponding data are available provides significantly lower foF2 trends, the difference between the later and earlier periods being a factor of 1.6. This is a strong argument in favor of an anthropogenic nature of the trends derived.

The interaction of the river flow with bottom riverine forms is considered under the significant influence of anthropogenic factors leading to changes in the water regime, the riverbed process and the ecology of watercourses. The section under consideration in the lower reaches of the Amu Darya River, taking into account the nature of the influence of both hydroelectric units, is divided into three parts: the upper section – from the Tuyamuyun hydroelectric unit to the Kipchak gorge; the middle section – from the Kipchak gorge to the Takhiatash hydroelectric unit; the lower section – from the Nietbaytas hydropost to the Kyzyljar hydropost (the delta part of the Amu Darya River). The regularities of the negative impact of anthropogenic factors on the hydraulic regime and the course of riverbed processes have been studied at these sites. The scale of the impact of anthropogenic factors significantly altering the course of the riverbed process has been determined and a generalized indicator characterizing the complex of various anthropogenic loads has been developed. It shows the change in water and riverbed regimes under the influence of hydraulic engineering measures in recent years in the lower reaches of the Amu Darya River, which are still observed in the case of wandering of the stream and the occurrence of peculiar currents, as well as deigish, where the banks are not protected by structures. In places where damless water intakes are located in channels, due to the large width of the river, planned instability occurs, which complicates water supply. According to the results of the analysis of the mechanism of these phenomena, appropriate measures have been developed to improve water intakes.

Degradation of commercial populations remains a frequent phenomenon even with the use of methods of stocktaking and control of production volume. In fish farming, the concept of “overfishing” is used with and the signs of this condition are well known. However, the processes leading to the degradation of reserves develope in various ways. According to the theory of nonlinear dynamical systems, several types of crisis development can be classified. Of particular interest are the phenomena of collapse, that is, variants of a rapid decline in numbers, which are unexpected for the organizations controlling the fishery. Immediately before the collapse, the state of the stock can be assessed as relatively stable and it may experience fluctuations. Contrary to expectations, there was no rapid recovery after a rapid reduction in cod, whitefish Coregonus clupeaformis of the Great Lakes, halibut and other valuable species. This paper considers a hybrid model for the collapse of red king crab Paralithodes camtschaticu s stocks of the Kodiak archipelago of Alaska with unusual distinctive oscillating dynamics. The computational scenario in a hybrid system with survival and growth equations considers the logic of decision-making in operation management. The scenario differs in that after the fall of catches, the crab population goes into the sporadic fluctuations that do not have a regular character and are not characteristic of the population. The collapse itself occurs after a long interval of fishing while the population is in an unstable mode. The analysis shows that a long species life cycle is not a decisive factor for eliminating the risk of a collapse scenario. The presence of reserve generations does not change the situation qualitatively, the efficiency of their reproduction in crab and cod off the coast of Labrador turned out to be unexpectedly low. The status of stocks of large predators that require seasonal moratoriums on fishing must be regularly checked.
