“…Indoxacarb resistance increased in Shandong, with moderate levels of resistance found in four populations and high resistance 20,21) It has been found to be effective against pests of the orders Lepidoptera, Diptera, Thysanoptera, and some species of Coleoptera and Orthoptera. 22,23) In our study, eight out of 10 populations of S. exigua exhibited moderate to high resistance to spinosad, while only two populations showed low resistance levels. Although spinosad has a novel action mechanism and no cross-resistance to many different insecticides, many pest species have still generated different levels of resistance.…”

“…105,106 Resistance was reported in four of five field populations of beet armyworm in Mexico. 107 A recent study reported that spotted bollworm on cotton in Pakistan remained generally susceptible. 108 Variable degrees of cross-resistance in a variety of pest species between spinosad and some, but not all, other agents have been reported.…”

“…Frequent application of insecticides had lead to resistance development of beet armyworm to conventional insecticides, and failure of chemical control was reported for this insect pest (Aldosari et al 1996;Moulton et al 2000Moulton et al , 2002Liu et al 2002a, b;Osoria et al 2008). In this scenario, new insecticides with unique mode of action are required as an alternative in integrated management program of beet armyworm.…”
