Molecular Docking Evaluation of the Desert Truffles as Potent Antifungal Inhibitors

Abstract: The research investigated the possible antifungal behavior of forty-four truffles bioactive compounds conducted to investigate the interaction modes of these inhibitors against three different types of the fungal proteins: Candida albicans, Blastomyces dermatitidis, and Ganoderma microsporum. The applied method in contrast to ketoconazole and griseofulvin revealed the possible anti-fungal agents ergosterol, Catechin gallate and rutin. With respect to Candida Albicans, the maximum possible binding energy was er… Show more

“…[9][10][11] Multiple studies had shown that medicinal as well as aromatic plants are highest in phytochemicals, which have a variety of biological effects like antioxidant, antineoplastic, antibacterial, as well as anti-inflammatory characteristics. [12][13][14][15][16][17] The Mediterranean environment supports the development of many plant types, 1 AlQuds-Bard College, Al-Quds University, Jerusalem, Palestine 2 many which have been different ecological, biological, nutritional, as well as therapeutic properties. [18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25] Peganum harmala L. (P. harmala), native to Central Asia, Middle East, and North Africa, is a traditional treatment that has long been used in folk medicine, due to its long-standing antibacterial characteristics.…”

“…These achievements could result in a rise in the medication's effectiveness when given to patients. Because recently discovered chemical compounds currently need to be developed further in order to produce superior outcomes, a crucial delivery enhancement is necessary [14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21].…”

“…The high cost of conventional medicines, as well as their reported serious side effects, has prompted researchers to look for alternative treatment options for a variety of diseases [1]. Several phytochemicals have recently been described as having potent antiviral efficacy, allowing them to inhibit the rapid replication of COVID-19 [2]. These very active compounds provide hope that natural inhibitors will be discovered in the future [3].…”
