“…Ductility characterizing the elastic and stress-strain properties of PBB increases at the temperature of 0 °C. The modified bitumen composition calculation program [21] can be used when selecting the PBB compositions of different brands that meet the requirements of GOST R 52056-20003 and are intended for the road construction, id est the production of polymer-asphalt concrete mixtures, surface treatments, production of polymer-bitumen emulsions. The software makes it possible to significantly reduce the labor intensity when selecting the modified bitumen compositions and to automate the calculation of polymer-bitumen binders compositions with the specified technical properties.…”

“…The reactivity, as well as the structure of the molecule, largely depends on temperature, so at a temperature of 110-119 °C sulfur begins to melt. When heated above 120 °C, cyclic molecules are converted into polymer chains; at 160 °С, this process begins to intensify (Galdina, 2011).…”

“…Although all the mixes with rubber meet the requirements of the State Standard GOST Р 52056-2003 on elasticity, it increases significantly in proportion to the increasing percentage of rubber in comparison to the control PBB with 22% of vinyl acetate (Figure 2). Such elasticity results from the fact that macromolecules of rubber in stress-free state of equilibrium have coils, they are rolled into a spiral [21]. Under the load, the molecules straighten, in other words, initially they stretch, because it is the macromolecules that straighten and not the bonds between the links.…”
