“…Se ha demostrado que la modelación puede tener éxito en la educación básica primaria (Cabassut & Wagner, 2011). En este sentido, Lesh y Sriraman (2005) argumentan que, durante la modelación, el estudiante construye mecanismos para abordar fenómenos de su diario vivir y ajusta formas flexibles para su desarrollo.…”

“…For instance, the international assessment of mathematics and science knowledge, the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) 2007, indicates that a primary source for teaching and learning mathematics is the textbook (see http://timss.bc.edu/timss2007). According to Ikeda (2007), the lack of adequate mathematical textbooks is a common obstacle to teach modelling in lower secondary school, and Cabassut and Wagner (2011) found that modelling was described only implicitly in tasks in primary textbooks in France and Germany. However, there seem to be few research studies of textbooks, with an explicit focus to analyse how mathematical modelling is interpreted and explained in different textbooks.…”

“…However, studies examining the relationship between mathematics textbooks and real life have gained importance in recent years. As a matter of fact, the real-life mathematics textbooks of literature studies (Altay, Erhan & Batı, 2020;Bingölbali & Özdiner, 2022;Cabassut & Wagner, 2011;Gainsburg, 2008;Haas, Kreis & Lavicza, 2020;Pepin & Haggarty, 2007;Yekrek & Özgeldi, 2019;Yılmaz & Özyiğit, 2016). It was observed that the studies mostly analyzed secondary school textbooks.…”
